Digital Versatile Doom, Live from the Orpheum Theatre HIM

Finnish rockers HIM have unleashed their definitive live collection entitled - Digital Versatile Doom, Live from the Orpheum Theatre XXXVII A.S. This is theirfirst commercially released live album/ DVD set, as opposed to Live and Undercover which is a bootleg.

If you have never been to a HIM concert then this DVD is the ultimate appetizer. It’s packed with bonus features such as, behind the scenes footage at the show, a series of interviews with band members, and a collage of fan videos to name but a few.

The CD opens with a track from 2007’s Venus Doom - Passion’s killing floor. The band also showcase songs from their back catalogue spanning their 10 year+ history, with songs such as the metal infused rendition of the Chris Isaak classic - Wicked Games, from 1997’s greatest love songs Vol 666.

The CD / DVD set presents itself as a limited edition. The artwork has a striking metallic finish, with a black crow summoned on the microphone, and on the reverse side is the trademark symbol of him - the heartagram. The set also contains a 6" X 4" flipbook, and the images are from HIM's live performance of "Sleepwalking Past Hope" at the concert.

A hats off to Director Meiert Avis, Ian Charbonneau for recording the DVD /CD at the Orpheum Theatre and Tim Palmer for mixing and audio production.
