Modest Mouse - We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank

Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls.
Presenting: We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank
A performance by Modest Mouse.

Find your seats, take your places. Allow Ringmaster Isaac Brock to wet your appetites for what is soon to take place…
Brock takes to the circus ring and commands attention with his strong vocal presentation (Track #1 'March into the Sea') leaving children wide-eyed and curious and adults intrigued.
“Aha! Ha! Ha! March On! March On! March On! March On! March On!”

Lights dim- then flash with delight! The circus comes alive with trapeze artists, clowns, magicians and fire twirlers. This is the upbeat citric energy of Dashboard (Track #2)

Yes! The circus is in town.

As children giggle and mums and dads hold hands like new lovers, the Modest Mouse
Troops entertain crowds musically and lyrically lead by the unmistakeable commands of Brock.

The tranquil and acoustic beauty of “Missed the Boat (Track #6) sets the stage for white ponies circling the ring with grace whilst magicians release doves and graceful lyrics “Tiny Curtains open and we heard the tiny clap of little hands… Sitting drifting around in bubbles and thinking it was us that carried them.”

Easy listening tracks Fire It Up (Track #3) and Parting of the Sensory (Track #5) provide a refreshing intermission of audio fairy floss and sequinned costumes.

The vapour of Little Motel (Track #10) awakens listening ears to the sight of a huge lion leaping through a ring of fire.

Oh Look! The clowns have taken to the stage performing cartwheel, riding miniature bicycles and spinning plates- a tantalizing template of wonderment and flamboyant splendour that is Steam Engenius (Track #11) and We’ve Got Everything (Track #7).

The energetic and upbeat thrill of Invisible (Track #14) and Florida (Track #4) welcomes fire twirlers to unleash the excitement of alternative rock.

We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank. Indeed it was, it is! A spectacularly spectacular theatrical delight!
