On December 2, Australia’s most renowned live rock band, YOU AM I release their first full live concert DVD. Entitled, “Who Are They, These Rock Stars” the DVD features YOU AM I’s amazing live performance at The Mint, Sydney earlier this year.
The performance, which launched the band’s latest album “Convicts” begins with the help of a special guest host, Tex Perkins (Cruel Sea, Beasts of Bourbon) and is packed with new songs “Friends Like You” and “It Ain’t Funny How We Don’t Talk Anymore” as well as old classics 'Berlin Chair', 'Cathy's Clown', 'Mr Milk', 'Good Mornin''. The DVD also features a host of extras including interviews, photo galleries and video clips.
YOU AM I received their 29th ARIA nomination this year for with a nod for ‘Best Rock album’ for “Convicts” (The band have won 8 ARIA's so far and counting!). “Convicts” was heralded a classic return to form by the band from fans and critics alike.
Having just returned from a tour of the U.K. & U.S.A, YOU AM I will be touring Australia throughout Nov/Dec '06 including all the major summer festivals, Homebake '06, Falls Festival & Big Day Out '07.
