DJ Lori Lee and Robot International proudly presents the fifth annual Tribute to Johnny Cash.
This very special evening is being held on Saturday, September 13, 2008 on the newly refurbished Deck Bar at The Jubilee Hotel in Fortitude Valley. This is the weekend of the Valley Fiesta.
Guest Performers
Forming especially for the tribute evening will be The Mean Eyed Cats a talented collection of Brisbane’s finest roots musicians including Dangerous Dan Nosovich (guitar), Coojee Timms (drums) and Paul Burke (bass).
The Mean Eyed Cats will support a star selection of guest vocalists on-stage to perform Johnny Cash tunes. Guests include:

Show director Lori Lee Cash will be also be DJ-ing on the night, playing a vast selection of recordings from all points of Johnny Cash’s distinguished career.
50-Year Career of Cash
Johnny Cash created his own musical style that spanned fifty years. From his fundamental recordings during the birth of rock’n’roll in 1955, to his chart topping prison albums of the late 1960s, his television series in the 1970s and his spine-tingling American Recordings in the 1990s, Johnny Cash was a unique and unshakeable force in popular music.
Walk The Line
Johnny Cash passed away on September 13, 2003 at the age of 71, but has since touched a legion of new fans with the release of ‘Walk The Line’ in 2005, the Academy Award-winning movie based on Johnny Cash's career and life with June Carter Cash.
The New Look Jubilee Hotel
The Johnny Cash Tribute will be held in the Deck Bar of the newly refurbished Jubilee Hotel. The bar features an expansive indoor/outdoor entertainment space with outdoor heating/cooling to suit the season.
