The Big Day Out 2008 returns with a overhaul of the ticket selling process and a line-up which sees the return of headliners that haven't been part of Big Day Out activities for over ten years: Rage Against the Machine and Bjork.
The Melbourne Big Day Out has a new home at Flemington Racecourse, where large expanses of grass are promised and of course, excellent public transport is on offer.
Kicking off the Big Day Out next year are the following artists: Rage Against the Machine, Bjork, Grinspoon, Arcade Fire, Hilltop Hoods, Billy Bragg, Paul Kelly, LCD Soundsystem, Sarah Blasko, Faker, Midnight Juggernauts, Dizzee Rascal, Something With Numbers, Battles and Cut Off Your Hands.
The Big Day Out have made some important changes to the way Big Day Out tickets are sold:
Staggered on Sale Dates:
To enable easier access for our ticket buyers they have staggered their on sales dates as follows:
Sydney: Wednesday 10th October
Gold Coast: Thursday 11th October
Auckland, Melbourne, Adelaide & Perth: Friday 12th October
This year there will also be strict ticket purchase limits:
