Blue King Brown

Blue King Brown are gearing up for run of festival dates to end to 2006 and a headline regional tour to kick off what is looking like a mammoth year of local and international touring in 2007.

At the AIR Awards last week, they took out the gong for the Best Performing Independent Single, where they were nominated along side the like of The Hilltop Hoods and The Grates.
“A big thanks to AIR, an independent association with integrity and a great focus for independent bands. It’s a great time for Blue King Brown right now and I’m grateful that our work is being acknowledged in this way, once again thanks to an association who has acknowledged a song that raises the important issue of Indigenous Land Rights and a big thanks to Triple J who also really supported this single and are a big part of getting our music across to so many people. Full respect to all the independents outs their putting in the hard yards, we make up such a massive part of this industry and hats off to AIR for being a true supporter of Independent music.” Carlo Santone, Blue King Brown.
