Regular visitors to these shores & perennial favourites of a big chunk of Australian music fans, The Shins are just about to release a new single, fittingly enough entitled Australia. Fittingly enough because they are headed back to Australia this August for what will be their fourth tour, a full 18 months since their last visit.
Since the release of their third album, Wincing The Night Away, in January, it has debuted number 5 in Australia & number 2 in the USA, an incredible accomplishment for an album released on an independent, pushing the Shins to the fore as one of the most exciting propositions in the crowded confines of indie-rock.
The Shins will be supported by New Zealand band The Ruby Suns on all shows.
