2nd shows announced last week for Aucland, Melbourne and Sydney have once again sold out!
Tickets went on sale at 9AM local time today and less than three hours later the combined tickets sales for the three additional shows were in excess of 150,000.
On another day of unprecedented ticket demand, the total sales for U2's eight concerts in Australia and New Zealand are now approaching 450,000.
Auckland lead the field home, selling out in just over 90 minutes. Sydney's Telstra Stadium was all but sold out within 2 hours, closely followed by Melbourne's Telstra Dome.
No other artist or group have ever sold out either of the Sydney or Melbourne venues twice, let alone in a total on-sale period of less than 3 hours.
