» UNKLE Live - Metro Theatre, The, NSW - January 23, 2008

After 10 years as musical collaborators in UNKLE, James Lavelle and Richard File are going their separate ways - a decision that is mutual and amicable. Richard will be concentrating on his new band, We Fell To Earth, who are currently in the studio working on their debut album.

Richard's replacement will be Joel Cadbury, lead singer of South (Mo Wax). Formed in 1998, South were originally conceived as an electronic act and were mentored by ex Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown. Catching the ears of James Lavelle, South were signed to his Mo Wax label, and subsequently released three albums.

Despite this, UNKLE are still gearing up to rock Aussie audiences this summer with a full live set up performing nationally at Big Day Out, plus select sideshows.

Bringing the UNKLE concept to the stage, James Lavelle and Joel Cadbury will be joined by Gavin Clark of Clayhill and Matt and Mike of ethereal Baltimore big eaters Big in Japan. An audio and visual splendour that will defy categorization, be sure to catch UNKLE Live this summer!
