In the year marking the 10th anniversary of the original G3 US tour, G3 returns to Australia this December! Satriani, Vai, and Petrucci cut through 40 minute individual se ts backed by their own bands, before the wizardry climaxes in a combined electrifying G3 jam.
G3 is the brainchild of Joe Satriani, This year, Joe released his tenth studio album, “Super Colossal” and toured extensively throughout the US, UK and Europe.
From his groundbreaking "Passion and Warfare" album in 1990 and throughout the years since, Steve Vai has created a sound all his own by striking a balance between technical ability and poetic phrasing. John Petrucci, an avid guitar player since age 12, is one of the founders of Dream Theater. G3 2006 Tour “Down Under” will be Petrucci!s fourth appearance as a part of G3 and his debut solo effort in Australia.
