Hovercrafts started life a loose, raucous, slightly scruffy outfit in 2004, playing shows on the back of a successful debut EP and national radio play. The Hovercraft’s debut single Shake Some spent 4 weeks in Triple J’s net 50, peaking at #11.
In 2008, the Hovercrafts decided to step back, get some perspective, and work on new songs with a new drummer. The result is a more focused, concise sound, with songs screaming out to be sung along to.
First out of the blocks is the ever-endearing Asleep at the Wheel, slated for digital release on the 25th of November, and celebrated with a month of Wednesdays at the Tote.
