Idol judge Ian “Dicko” Dickson is hoping Channel Ten will pick up a new reality show that will see Aussie bands battle it out for a sniff of a record contract.
Dicko will split his time this month between judging Australian idol and a new reality show in the US called ‘The Next Great American Band’.
The show, which will be shown on Fox, will also see Goo Goo Dolls frontman John Rzeznik as a resident judge, as clearly he knows what people want to hear.
Whether or not Channel Ten take Dicko’s advice and run with the format will no doubt depend on the show’s popularity with American audiences.
