MSFest will this year lead the way changing the way music festivals are run in Australia, having seen the writing on the wall with the increased act costs leading up to an ever increasing spiral in ticket prices has resulted in smaller crowds and consequently unprofitable festivals.

As the next major festival in Tasmania, MSFest has announced major steps to make this the best value festival for Aussies this summer, and has announced additions to the line up.

Latest Lineup Additions:

Matt Corby
San Cisco

will be joining previously announced:

The Naked & Famous
Unkle Sounds
Roots Manuva
Little Red
Bluejuice
Sparkadia
Amy Meredith
Grafton Primary
Muscles
Sampology
Bomb The Bass
Tijuana Cartel
Salmonella Dub SOund System
Evil Eddie
Acumen
Ajax
Kuya
Nina Las Vegas

But surely the best news is the announcement that MSFest have reduced their ticket price to $77, making this festival serious value for the ticket price. And this in a year when, for the first time, MSFest will have five international acts on the bill as well as a huge line up of national acts.

The event will still retain all its ingredients such as the Main stage, Dance arena, Silent disco and Community village. Charles said “this year MSFest will have a true festival feel and set in the pristine parklands of the Queens Domain.

From Thursday February 2 all tickets will be available from outlets at $77(+ booking fees). As a special offer to ALL those who have already purchased tickets, they will be able to get one extra ticket-at no charge. They will simply have to contact the outlet where they purchased the ticket, with the ticket as proof, to receive the extra ticket for a friend.
