In a world gone financially mad it’s not often you get something for free. In amongst this doom and gloom, Melbourne community radio station PBS 106.7 FM serves up a week of live music across all their shows – and it all kicks off on Saturday 13th December with the free concert launch of Live Music Week at Federation Square in the city of Melbourne.
The Live Music Week Launch Concert will be held on Saturday 13th of December from 1pm to 7pm and is free for the public to attend. Artists appearing will be psychedelic/country power-pop outfit The Hello Morning;
indie band Ryan Meeking & The Few; country folk-rocker Matt Joe Gow; the enigmatic Katy Steele from Little Birdy (pictured); country/folk singer-songwriter Jeff Lang; brooding pop/rock artist Shane Nicholson, and, just announced, folk hipsters The Audreys.
The Live Music Week Launch Concert will also be broadcast live to air on PBS 106.7FM.
During the week from Monday 15th to Friday 19th December each of PBS 106.7FM drive time programs will feature live artists performing music from 5pm– 7pm in the studios. These include NZ rock act The Datsuns on Monday Drive program Fire Water; electro-folk band Jackson Jackson on Fang It!; rock quintet Epicure during City Slang, hometown heroes The Drones on Radio City; and wrapping it all up on Friday’s Drive Time program Stone Love will be Little Red.
