The Australian Music Prize Announces Shortlist

The 7th Australian Music Prize (AMP)

The Australian Music Prize (The Amp) has continued to go from strength to strength since its inception, proving a credible, peer-driven prize that has helped to launch the careers of Australian artists both overseas and at home.

In the running for a cash prize of $30,000 thanks to PPCA, the following shortlisted artists have been acknowledged for producing albums of outstanding quality and creativity:

ABBE MAY - 'Design Desire'
ADALITA - 'Adalita'
BOY & BEAR - 'Moonfire'
GOTYE - 'Making Mirrors'
GURRUMUL - 'Rrakala'
JACK LADDER & THE DREAMLANDERS - 'Hurtsville'
THE JEZABELS - 'Prisonner'
KIMBRA - 'Vows'
THE MIDDLE EAST - 'I Want That You Are Always Happy'

The 7th Australian Music Prize winner will be announced on Thursday 8 March at the PPCA and The Australian Music Prize Present 'Amped Up in Conversation' Winner's Event at 12 noon. Tickets will be available from February 6th, register your interest by email: info@australianmusicprize.com.au
