basics keep your friends close

2009 has been nothing short of epic for The Basics.

Melbourne's hardest working trio have toured relentlessly, criss-crossing the nation and honing their dynamic live show all the while recording their highly anticipated album Keep Your Friends Close.

Released in Australia on the 25th September and in Ireland on the 30th of October, Keep Your Friends Close transcends genres and lets The Basics’ masterful song-craft and musicianship shine through.

We have already been given a taste of what to expect from Keep Your Friends Close; from the instantly recognizable breakthrough single With This Ship which received rave reviews nation wide and was lovingly added to triple j to The Basics’ current single The No. 1 Cause of Death Amongst Youth Today.

To celebrate this momentous occasion in their career, The Basics will be doing what they do best and hitting the road on a national Keep You Friends Close tour in November.
