Tragic end to Melbourne Band Electric Jellyfish's US Tour

Melbourne band Electric Jellyfish's tour of the US has ended tragically, with a car crash killing a guitarist and photographer, and severely injured the band's front man.

Hayden Sweeney and his wife Bridget died when the SVU they were travelling in hit a guard rail; early reports suggest that the car had swerved to avoid a deer on the road, however local police are still investigating.

Frontman Mike Beech is reportedly in a stable condition suffering head injuries. Bass player Adam Camilleri suffered a broken arm and drummer Patrick Lias received minor injuries.
