» Whitlams Announce Tour - September 20, 2006
Raucous touring institution The Whitlams may have released the quietest album of their career but they continue to yell it from the rooftops all around Australia. Their sold out April/May tour once again confirmed the public's unwavering desire to see their favourite tracks energised in the concert rooms where the band has grown up.
'Little Cloud' sees a return to the trademark piano and vocal based story telling style Tim Freedman is renowned for. The album has been produced by J. Walker of Machine Translations, the Melbourne indie music master who made it his job to put immediacy and intimacy back into the songs, and the piano back up to the front. The result is classic Whitlams.
Having sold in excess of half a million albums in Australia The Whitlams continue to impress their loyal fan base and critics alike in the live environment and these forthcoming shows will be no exception when Drummer Terepai Richmond, bass player Warwick Hornby and guitarist Jak Housden will again join front man Tim Freedman to deliver a memorable performance to audiences over the coming months.
