Lauren Horton releases There Will Be Static

Sydney songstress Lauren Horton will release her striking debut EP, There Will Be Static, on Friday 12 June, and will celebrate with a launch in her hometown.
Recorded with producer Tony Dupe (Holly Throsby, Jack Ladder, Saddleback) in his picturesque rural studio, There Will Be Static draws influences from jazz, french-pop, lounge and folk genres.
Filled with infectious melodies, syncopated beats and sparse instrumentation, Lauren possesses a delicate, quirky vocal style and peppers There Will Be Static with poetic lyrics focused on themes of love, life and learning.
