Evan Dando
Yep, the Ev' is back. Evan Dando, the late 20th Century fox, the golden child, the lover, the strummer, the man is out here for some solo outings on the East Coast that are sure to entertain, and Love Police are as proud as punch to be working with this great artist.
Since ’95 Evan Dando in one incarnation or another has been a familiar visitor to our shores. Whether its been as the charismatic lead singer of the Boston-bred punk-turned-alt-pop trio the Lemonheads or as a solo artist, we’ve been witness to the singer/guitarist's frequently brilliant, frequently maddening two-decade career.
Returning for his first shows in 2 or 3 years, Evan Dando flies solo this time round to perform in Sydney Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron and Tassie. With a catalogue of songs that were made to be performed by one man with an acoustic guitar, expect the set list to be bursting with hits, drawing from 4 Lemonheads albums and various solo outings. From “It's A Shame About Ray”,” My Drug Buddy”, “If I Could Talk I'd Tell You”, to” Big Gay Heart”, the list of classics goes on.
With a new album on the horizon (expect a long awaited covers album sometime mid year) Evan Dando is well and truly back on the musical radar.
Like catching up with for a beer with a long lost friend, these shows are not to be missed … see you there.
