The wait is finally over for Eskimo Joe’s Australian fans to see their favourite live act on the just announced ‘INSHALLAAUSTRALIAN TOUR’ throughout July and August 2009. This will be Eskimo Joe’s only tour for 2009 and demand for tickets will be huge due to the fact that every Eskimo Joe show sold out on their last album tour. Tickets are on sale from Monday May 4 from www.eskimojoe.net and the usual outlets.
Eskimo Joe have just returned from a European tour and have come home to the news that their latest single, ‘Foreign Land’ came in as the #1 Most Added Song at radio and after two weeks on air is already riding high in the Top 20 of the Australian airplay chart.
‘Foreign Land’ is first single from Eskimo Joe’s much-anticipated fourth album ‘Inshalla’ which will be released on Friday May 29. ‘Inshalla’ is an invigorating, exciting fresh sound for a trio intent on embracing the world around them and the band can’t wait to perform songs from the new album, as well as their vast collection of previous hits, on the Inshalla Australian Tour. Joel Quartermain said the following about the upcoming tour:
"Having played shows abroad we are really excited to be getting in front of our home audiences with a new record and new songs to play. We've put a lot of thought into this show hoping everyone will have a unique experience."
For a band whose sound has taken giant leaps forward, from 2001’s ‘Girl’ to 2004’s ‘A Song Is A City’ and on to the fourtimes-platinum mega hit ‘Black Fingernails, Red Wine’, Eskimo Joe have stepped up to again prove why they’re one of the most heralded and enduring rock bands around today.
