Resist, Blunt Magazine and Element Present
Parkway Drive, Suicide Silence, A Day To Remember, The Acacia Strain and Confession Australian Tour December 2008.
In news that will whip heavy music fans into a frenzy, Resist is thrilled to announce one of the heaviest tour line ups Australia has seen. The aptly titled summer tour, "Sweat Fest" features Byron Bay's Parkway Drive, US acts Suicide Silence, A Day To Remember, The Acacia Strain and Melbourne's Confession.
Spending the majority of 2008 abroad, including 2 US tours and a sold out European tour, Parkway Drive will wind down the year with a national tour on home soil this December. Parkway Drive will storm the nation’s capital cities for what is set to be a homecoming of truly apocalyptic proportions.
Hailing from California, Suicide Silence are one of the extreme metal genre's most talked about new bands. With the release of their debut album ‘The Cleansing’ Suicide Silence have created what can only be described as one of the most devastating and overall brutal albums melding the most destructive elements of death, grind and hardcore.
The five members of A Day To Remember have crafted a unique blend of what can best be called “pop-mosh”—a potent combination mixing metal core with the brash melodies of pop-punk. Forming in 2003, the Floridian quintet have been busy working on album number three to be released on Victory Records early in 2009.
Springfield, Massachusetts' heaviest band The Acacia Strain have just released album number four "Continent". Uniting Continent’s theme of nihilism and misanthropy with the album’s visually stunning mural of destruction, Continent is The Acacia Strain's darkest and most angry release to date.
Rounding out the line up is Melbourne's Confession. After gaining notoriety through his time as vocalist for I Killed The Prom Queen, Carpathian, and USA band Bury Your Dead, Michael Crafter is back with his latest group Confession. Teaming up with 50 Lions guitarist Dan Brown, their debut EP Can't Live Can't Breathe is out this October on Resist Records.
