We Are Scientists began, in spirit, at Pomona College, in Claremont, California, in the Fall of 1997, when Keith Murray (lead vocals) and Chris Cain (guitar and backing vocals) met at a viewing of Dawson’s Creek held in the latter’s dorm room. Though at the time they couldn’t suspect any of the details of the coming decade, it was apparent to both of them that they would spend many long years riding buses together.
We Are Scientists are known for their thoughtful, and epic, rock music with its innovative melodies. We Are Scientists had self-released two albums and two EPs before being signed to a major label and releasing their debut full length album, With Love and Squalor which sold over 100,000 copies in the UK alone. The album featured hit tracks such as Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt, It’s a Hit and The Great Escape. Their 2008 follow up album, Brain Thrust Mastery, showcases their catchy sound to full effect. Their awe-inspiring live shows will appeal to their long standing fans and those who are less familiar with their sound.
