It’s been three long years since DAPPLED CITIES last delivered an album to the Australian people and almost as long since their last sold out Australian headline tour, so Triple J & Video Hits are thrilled to announce DAPPLED CITIES Wall Of Zounds Australian tour, in support of the upcoming release of their 3rd long-player, Zounds.
DAPPLED CITIES will be calling on repertoire from their entire catalogue. Besides music from Zounds the band will play live favourites from the AMP nominated Granddance (2006) album and indie cult-classic A Smile (2004), with each show being a genius combination of swirling synths, falsettos and guitar driven rock/pop masterpieces.
The pre-release word on Zounds - recorded with American maestro Chris Coady (TV On The Radio/Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and local dial twiddler Scott Horscroft - is already buzzing after amazing early support from Triple J on first single ‘The Price’, with the album already being spoken of as DAPPLED CITIES highest achievement in a 10-year career.
Joining DAPPLED CITIES for the Wall Of Zounds tour are special guests PHILADELPHIA GRAND JURY and YACHT CLUB DJ’s.
