Down in the arse end of Australia in the "where's that?" state of Tasmania and the arse end of that state in a town called Hobart, two friends, bass player Alex Maloney and Adam 'Matt Cameron' Davison, grungetards, were sick of the grungelessness of Tasmania and decided to form a band. However, because just drum and bass grunge bands suck and probably never existed, they went on to recruit close friend of Maloney, Ben Knight, an Angus Young/Jimi Hendirx/Jimmy Page inspired guitarist, who had grown up listening to lots of hard/classic rock and Nirvana. This left only one more hole to fill, a singer and preferably one who can play guitar, which is when they found Spiro Noutsatos, who fit the bill perfectly. This rounded off what was to be known as POWERCHILD.
