The Three Omegas group was formed in mid 2007 and brings together ex-Sydney Conservatorium compatriots David de Vries (guitar), Mike Majkowski (double bass) and James Waples (drums) as friends, peers, composers and improvisers. The group strives to present a unique approach to the guitar trio format by exploring music with an uninhibited openness that embraces uneasiness with a shared intuitive trust.
Influences include The Necks, John Lee Hooker, Ornette Coleman, Derek Bailey & Showa 44
Individually these fine young artists have played with some of Australias most renowned musicians such as Chris Abrahams, Mick Nock, Bernie McGann, Dale Barlow & Jim Denley.

Soundtracks Will Dissolve began in 2007 with Nigel and Tim making minimal accoustic sounds on double bass and bouzouki. Russell joined us on percussive things half-way through '08, and we added some amplification and effects around the same time. The first two tracks on their myspace are more recent recordings with Nigel swapping the bass for laptop and field recordings.
