Melbourne artists Rebecca Moore and Adam Cousens are touring Tasmania for the second time in 2009 bringing their roots based music to Tasmania in June and July.

Expect some great evenings of entertainment featuring contemporary folk/blues from Rebecca Moore on vocals and guitar with multi-instrumentalist Damien Neil playing fiddle, banjo, mandolin and guitar. Rebecca is touring songs from her upcoming album “Real Love”. Her music is a weaving together of threads from ancient folk music traditions with contemporary insights, melodies and stories. Rebecca has supported bands such as Epicure, the John Butler Trio, Xavier Rudd and Archie Roach. She was nominated for the Best Female Vocalist Award at the 2008 ABC Newcastle Music Awards.

Adam Cousens is touring with his five piece band and you can look forward a rousing, energy laden, thought provoking and spirited performance from him. In whatever way Adam’s music touches you, whether it’s because you just can’t get that catchy melody out of your head, or because listening to his meaningful lyrics makes you stop and think about what he is saying, he writes and sings gorgeous songs that will have your toes tapping by the first verse, have you loudly singing by the last verse, and have you calling for more when it is over.

Pepare for some shows of great music, fun and dancing, perfect for an afternoon or evening in Tassie in the heart of winter!
