Leticia Maher will be performing her songs as a warm up show before the big Album launch at Don't Tell Tom Bar, 420 Sydney Road, Brunswick on Sat 11th July at 8.30pm. Performing on the evening - special guest musicians including the Schade Belles on Backing vocals.
Known for her unique voice capable of broad swathes of expression Leticia’s voice is an instrument of torchy soul, playful country, sophisticated pop jazz, vampy blues, and smoky caberet. Her singing brings to mind the clarity of Eva Cassidy, the intimacy of Bic Runga, cool grooves of Diana Krall and the compassion of Sarah McGlachlan. One critic says listening to Leticia “Felt like heroin, easy to float through like a warm beautiful blue river”, and he’s not the only one to be struck by her “a new and exciting voice”.
