Magic Dirt

Magic Dirt release Girl, their brand new album, on Saturday 5 July.

That gives the band the rest of the month to re-string their guitars, stock up on gaffer tape, pack their tooth brushes, reload their ipods and get the van serviced before they hit the road on the biggest national tour of their entire career.

Magic Dirt have 35 shows locked in with more to be announced.

If you draw breath within the boundaries of Australia there is a good chance the dirtbags will be cranking their scuzz within earshot over the next few months.

Girl roars out of the blocks with all the sonic adventure Magic Dirt are notorious for. First single Romy is on rotation at triple j and a firm favourite at community radio, and the filthy riches of such tracks as Ready to Die, White Boy and Six Feet Under are already firm live favourites.

No band better charts the territory where the allure of adventure and cheap thrills collides on a suburban street with the dangers and pitfalls that come with the package. Magic Dirt know that zone all too well, every intersection, back lane way and shut down corner store… that’s why their music means so much to so many.
