A laid-back concert featuring Tasmanian-made string instruments played by Tasmanian musicians. Also a "Meet the Makers" event where you can chat with local amateur and professional instrument makers and see some of their amazing creations.

The concert will kick off at 2pm, and will be on the lawns if it is nice weather, or in the barn if it isn't.

This event accompanies the 'String State' exhibition that is to be held in the Schoolhouse Gallery and Rosny Library Foyer from Feb 13-Mar 8. The exhibition features instruments by John Akerman, Christine Badger, Tony Allan, Martin Blackwell, Miklos Borzak, Graeme Briton, Allan Bull, Peter Dahl, Adrian Dean, Ken de Bomford, Doug Finlay, Merv Gray, Garry Greenwood, Phillip Kearney, Neil Laughlin, Graeme McCormack, Jasper McCormack, Paul Mineur, Jonathon Murphy, Warren Nolan Fordham, Maria Perez-Pulido, Fred Pribac, Gary Rizzolo, Lance Stapleton, Ned Trewartha, Chris vonderBorch, Harry Wass, Huw Wilkins, Lucy Magnus Wilson, Andrew Thom, Don Shepard, Harold Lane, Kerry King, Gordon Triffett and Bill Foster.

This is a chance to see many amazing handmade instruments all in one place. Not to be missed.

If you have a Tasmanian-made instrument that you would like to show off - bring it along on the 14th!

Presented by Clarence City Council.
